As an obstetrician-gynecologist in practice, if this bill passes, I won't be changing my practice, because there's nothing for me to change if I'm not engaging in forced or coerced sterilization.
I also think that the bill will be an extremely important one and will be a catalyst for a much larger discussion in the profession of medicine, particularly in the discipline of obstetrics and gynecology, about how we engage in the process of informed consent with patients to ensure that it is valid.
We don't really have anything to worry about in the way this bill is written if we're not engaging in those coercive practices.
