Right now, the EA process has been ongoing. We've reached out for the section 35 consultation via the NEB, or the inheritor of it, to engage with us. The importance of it is that as a self-government, Tłegǫ́hłı̨ Got’įnę Government will be able to directly participate in the engagement, where our voices will be heard directly, and to advocate our support for the process. This way, it allows us to engage in a much more economical fashion versus being engaged as an aboriginal stakeholder through the Sahtu Secretariat Incorporated.
