Thank you, Chair.
Thank you to our guests today. Welcome.
I want to go to Mikey McBryan.
You talked about your family's history. I think you said that for over a century, your family has been in the north. Since time immemorial, indigenous people were there. The history of the north was mining. Then, it was oil and gas, and then diamonds. I think diamonds are on the downturn. There's talk of heavy military investment going into the north, which is great, because we need to defend our north, but at its highest level, it's a government program.
From your perspective, given all those boom and bust cycles, what are some of the lessons you would like to see learned by government, and what is the long-term strategic perspective? What can be done better than going through booms and busts and then these different government programs or high-level military dependency? What do you think is next for the north?
