I call this meeting to order.
This is meeting number 44 of the Standing Committee on International Trade.
Pursuant to Standing Order 108(2) and the motion adopted by committee on Tuesday, June 9, the committee is commencing its study on enforcing Canada's import ban on goods using forced labour.
We appreciate our witnesses making themselves available on short notice, and thank you to the parliamentary secretary for helping arrange this meeting on short notice.
We have with us today, from the Canada Border Services Agency, Mr. Hamilton and Ms. Toxopeus. From the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, we have Ms. Wilshaw, Mr. Brookfield and Ms. McDonald.
Thank you very much for attending.
I understand that there will be one opening statement from Ms. Wilshaw. You'll have five minutes.
For the committee's reference, I have 12 motions on notice, so I've secured additional resources, but we'll see if we can get out of here quickly.
Thank you very much.
Ms. Wilshaw, you have the floor.
