If the price goes up in the American market, it will go up somewhat in the Canadian market based on the exchange rate. However, that doesn't take tariffs into account. If lumber sells for $500 U.S. per 1,000 board feet, for example, it will be a little more expensive in Canadian dollars because of the exchange rate, but it won't be enough to offset the duties.
