The Criminal Code and the judicial system work, and these factors are taken into consideration. With the greatest respect, we cannot change legislation unless it is absolutely necessary, as a result of tragic, horrible circumstances. You're talking about changing the Criminal Code which will effect the entire country, and is it a precedent here that you might be concerned with? If that were all that was in there, those three, and you felt in your wisdom that it was necessary to change the Criminal Code, because there was a vacuum, that's your job. I've tried to help you with mine.

Okay, I appreciate that.

Is there anyone else?

If not, first of all, thank you again to all of the witnesses. I think you brought a lot of information to the committee that we not only appreciate but that we will also use going forward as we think about this law.

The meeting is adjourned.
