I can't speak for my neighbour, of course, but I can tell you that the members we heard from, from our hospitals, feel very strongly that they have a duty of care to have guidelines that are consensus-based, to know how to apply these things and to know that people have equitable access to care and are able to get the mental health care they need. In the absence of those things, people feel like they're not able to provide that service knowing that all of those gaps exist. That's important to consider.
The Canadian public would want to know that the people who are providing that care feel secure in their ability to do so and that the necessary infrastructure is there for them to do that.
