I now hesitate to call it residue or waste because all my environmentalist colleagues don't see that way. For the moment, biomass is left in the forest. Back home, we tend to want to use only part of that biomass, whereas elsewhere, they go so far as to extract tree stumps and roots. Currently in Quebec, some woods are not used; they're forwarded to industry for processing. For the moment, this is raw material that remains in the forest.
