As the grid starts to expand their generation sources to wind, solar, rooftop and distributed energy resources, we're seeing that there's a real need to modernize the grid. The more we utilize smart grid technologies, the less grid we will actually need to build. That number, whether we have to double the electricity grid, will be dependent on how we're utilizing existing technologies and innovation.
