I will continue to read my motion:
[...]; and WHEREAS the federal government is committed, pursuant to part VII of the Official Languages Act, to enhancing the vitality of the English and French linguistic minority communities in Canada and supporting and assisting their development; and fostering the full recognition and use of both English and French in Canadian society; BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Standing Committee on Official Languages conduct a study of immigration to francophone minority communities and report its conclusions and recommendations to the House no later than December 31, 2016.
I indicated December 31, 2016 as the date, but I would not want this to limit us. In order to ensure that this will be fully successful, I am ready to withdraw the date.
