As you know, our mandate is threefold. In addition to educating students, we have to support identity-building and community vitality. To fulfill that mandate, we have to have not only a screening process for enrolment, but also the means to meet the French-language needs of students who do not speak the language. That is why, in the earlier discussion with your fellow members, we were so adamant that the system needed more funding, precisely to remedy the situation.
