Let's talk about what's happening now. The closure of Roxham Road was supposed to help us more effectively control the inflow of people wanting to enter the country on humanitarian grounds. However, what we saw was that visitor visas were being issued far too readily and that just as many people as previously were ultimately seeking asylum in Canada.
