I think our audit showed that federal funding led to improvements. I think the most noticeable would be in affordability. There's definitely been a decline in the costs for child care per day and there's definitely been a creation of spaces, but what's missing is whether or not the government, by the end of 2026, will be able to show whether all of those goals have been missing, because there are gaps in information.
There's a failure in making sure they've set themselves up to get that information, but it's clear that the funding has helped make child care more affordable across the country.
