It's a pleasure to have the opportunity to speak today.
The first thing I want to say is that I will be proposing an amendment that I am about to send to the clerk. I will read the amendment.
I move:
That the motion be amended as follows:
(1) That the words “a minimum of” be deleted;
(2) That the words “six meetings” be changed to “three meetings”; and
(3) That all the words between the word “meetings” and the words “and that the committee report its findings and recommendations to the House” be deleted.
Mr. Chair, I have just sent that to the clerk in both English and French. I don't know if you want to suspend again, so that everybody can have the amendment distributed to them. If so, I would then be happy to speak to it.
