In the course of preparing the defence industrial strategy, we identified space launch as a really important opportunity because of the intersection of the operational need—so much of our military's domain awareness in the future will likely come from space-based capabilities—but also because of the industrial opportunity. So many of Canada's industries are doing really exciting research that we could be using in Canada to achieve an operational and industrial advantage.
