We recognize all the leadership work carried out by the Fonds de recherche du Québec and all the work done by Quebec's chief scientist. For us, this is a source of pride and it has been a source of inspiration. However, Quebec researchers also submit applications to the federal government. These applications fall outside the purview of the Fonds de recherche du Québec. There's room for improvement in this area in order to increase the number of applications submitted in French.
