As I was saying earlier, development is just one of the five pillars proposed in the Pan-Canadian Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance. As such, we don't necessarily need to move towards developing new antimicrobials. There are other options. It's important to understand which of these pillars or levers should be promoted in order to optimize investment and get the best return when implementing public policies.
