I'm currently working on a private member's bill to strengthen the opportunity to have these criminals stay behind bars to protect our survivors. I want to call them “survivors”: They're not victims. You guys are survivors and I commend you for it.
Would you agree that lengthening those sentences would help survivors feel safer and not at risk?
