Ms. Thibaudeau, in your opening remarks, the figures you provided are somewhat worrisome and alarming. There are also figures regarding your help line. It is able to meet all needs. We can see that the situation is becoming increasingly complex.
Beyond the figures, are you also seeing, through your help line, a shift in the forms of violence, particularly in terms of coercive control or even tech-enabled violence?
In the Protecting Victims Act—the former Bill C‑16—there is, among other things, one aspect that is especially important. That's the recognition that violence is not always physical, but that it always causes pain.
