Many witnesses have emphasized that survivors do not experience violence in isolation from other social and economic realities, including poverty, disability, racism, immigration status and housing insecurity. Which populations of women and girls are currently the most underserved by Canada's shelter and transitional housing systems? What targeted interventions would help close these gaps?
