Yes, having additional dedicated spaces for women who are currently experiencing homelessness to be able to access would be an incredibly important way to allocate resources from Build Canada Homes while not losing sight of the fact that we want the priority to be on permanent housing and permanent options.
There are thousands and thousands of unhoused women in the city of Toronto right now. I'm sure that if they had the choice and could pick between a coed space and a space that was dedicated for women, they would choose a space dedicated for women.
