This isn't a question, but I want you to know, sir, that this committee has done a study into the workings of the Veterans Review and Appeal Board. The Liberal Party wrote a minority report—a report that wasn't accepted by the majority of the committee—that indicated that the biggest problem with the veterans claim process right through to the appeal level is the application of the benefit of the doubt. We put forward the view that the bar needs to be lowered.
What I want you to know, sir, is that I've enlisted Senator Dallaire to help me with this effort. We're going to try to get the benefit of the doubt to have some real meaning. Okay? That's not a question. I just want you to know that.
