Making sure that we explicitly look at race-based trauma and have a full understanding of how that impacts our serving members and our veterans, and their life post service, is one thing to do.
Also, I don't know if it would be called an active offer, but another is making sure that it is clear that Veterans Affairs and the Canadian Armed Forces are looking at that specifically, so that racialized and Black members of the Canadian Armed Forces feel more comfortable bringing those issues forward and have a degree of confidence that they can be addressed with the same level of interest as other forms of trauma.
