Yes, exactly. One of the best ways out there to recruit is to have a bunch of successful 40-year-old veterans who did time in the military. It's quite common in other countries.
Obviously, in WithYouWithMe, I used to work with our Five Eyes partners, and Canada has a weird relationship with the military where you basically have to serve 20 or 25 years; otherwise, did you really serve enough? Compare that to the American military, where it's once a marine, always a marine—three years.
You should be really identifying how that service jump-started and enabled you into it. As you stated, we should be able to use the skills from being a sergeant in the infantry and say, you basically have all the skills required so here's a quick update for six months. You have children and a family, and you have to support them, so you can't just take four years off to do a bachelor's degree.
I'll be honest with you. I work in the defence industry. The defence industry is screaming for talent right now, so you'd want to start propelling all those senior NCOs with all those experiences and skills, give them quick updates, and then they're delivering support.
