Mr. Speaker, there are rumours around this place that just moments ago, on the fourth floor of this building, there was a committee of cabinet meeting, quite possibly the Treasury Board committee. As members know, the Treasury Board committee also sits as a special committee of the council.

Could the President of the Treasury Board confirm to the House that the meeting did in fact take place and that it was to discuss the order in council necessary to allow the member for Vancouver Granville to tell her story?

The Deputy Speaker Bruce Stanton

I am not seeing this as a point of order so much as an introduction to debate of some kind. The hon. member may have an opportunity for such a question at a later time, but I am not seeing this as a point of order in this case.
