Mr. Speaker, it is always a pleasure to rise on behalf of the people of Kamloops—Thompson—Nicola. In doing so, I want to highlight Barriere, British Columbia.
Barriere needs a new fire hall. Its fire hall is over 70 years old. It services many communities in the area of Kamloops—Thompson—Nicola. The people of Barriere are very hard-working, industrious people. They deserve a new fire hall for their safety, especially given wildfire season. I invite and encourage the federal government to fund the fire hall in the upcoming budget on November 5.
