Madam Speaker, the housing crisis has been decades in the making, and this government is taking decisive action. We are acting head-on to fight this crisis. In the first six months of this year, programs like MLI select have helped enable more than 141,000 units; the ACLP, 81,000 rental homes; and Build Canada Homes has 19,000 units under way. With the Canada rental protection fund, we are protecting 7,000 affordable rental units.
