Mr. Speaker, this year, we made the school food and nutrition program permanent for children across the country. We achieved a participation rate of 80% of public schools across the country, and we are serving meals to 400,000 more children. This investment will continue in the coming years, but every time there is a vote in the House to support this program, the members opposite vote against this investment in children's nutrition.
In the House of Commons on October 26th, 2026. See this statement in context.
