Madam Speaker, it is, of course, important to look at the full equation when we are looking at the country's finances. Revenues are important. We need to continue to generate revenues, but what we are seeing right now is that expenses are out of control. More importantly, the interest expense is the fastest-growing expense on the books, at $83 billion in interest. This interest has to be serviced. Ultimately, it has to be paid, and it is paid by dollars taken from hard-working Canadians. We cannot continue down this trajectory of ignoring the spending and ignoring the debt and how the debt is going to be repaid.
