Mr. Speaker, this bill is based on the lessons that we learned from Bill C-5, and it provides us with an opportunity to apply those lessons to all investment projects in Canada. This is part of our commitment to reach our full potential and build unwavering resilience. This bill will improve government operations, provide greater clarity and predictability and ensure that decisions on the right projects are made in a timely manner. All this will be done while maintaining the safeguards and transparency that Canadians expect.
