Mr. Speaker, I wonder if the parliamentary secretary is aware that when he refers to the new pipeline, now rebranded as Pacific link, and says it is moving Canadian oil, that it is not actually moving Canadian oil. The project description from the Government of Alberta correctly describes the project as moving diluted bitumen. “Canadian oil” suggests it might be crude that could go straight to a refinery, which this cannot. It is a more hazardous project, being diluted bitumen.
Does the government not think it is important to correctly describe a project that it thinks is in the national interest?
