Mr. Speaker, there is the short term and there is the long term. In the short term, the government is providing tax relief. In the long term, it is important to recognize that, whether it is through the Minister of Agriculture, the Minister of International Trade or the other ministers, we are aggressively looking for new markets for our farmers.
I suspect that in the long run, the healthiest thing we can do for our farmers is to support them by finding and supporting new markets that go beyond the United States. At some point, we will re-establish well in the United States, but we need to expand the export market, and that is something this government is aggressively pursuing. I suspect that our farmers in the Prairies will very much appreciate that fact.
