Mr. Speaker, I wonder if my friend could provide his thoughts. After serving in the B.C. legislature, does he recognize the important role that provincial governments, in particular, have in dealing with issues like natural resources?
We talk about refineries and whether we want to increase the number of refineries. It has not been confirmed, but I think we have 16 or 17 refineries across the country. If we want to increase that number, the only way that could really be done in a practical way is by getting the three major stakeholders together, the private sector, provincial government and its entities, and the federal government. By working collaboratively, we might be able to get some more refineries built.
Could I get his thoughts on that?
