Mr. Speaker, the last petition I am presenting today calls on the government to suspend the AAFC staff terminations and to continue operating the research centre, research farms and the organic and regenerative research program for at least 24 months to provide cost-benefit transparency and ensure irreplaceable research capacity and long-term studies are not lost due to hasty decisions.
The petitioners are urging that we cannot base our good public health decisions on political sound bites. They have to be based on research.
