Mr. Speaker, I want to thank my colleague for his contribution in committee. I want him to know that the sooner we get to work, the sooner we will be able to really change things.
However, things are already going well, because everyone in the House agrees that we should pass the bill quickly. Everyone in the House agrees with the principle. The bill has to go to the other place now. I hope our friends at the other place will move as quickly as we are. I wish we could be unanimous and take a Kumbaya approach to all bills. Unfortunately, that is not possible.
There are certain situations where we are able to do the right thing together, and I think this example illustrates that well. I am glad we can do this for David's friends.
