Mr. Speaker, the government says that the pressures on diesel prices are the result of global factors that will not go away quickly. The member talks about relief, but the relief he is proposing is temporary. That will only prolong the uncertainty that our supply chains and businesses are facing as they make investment decisions.
Why not support our motion and give Canadians more lasting relief by eliminating all federal taxes on diesel until July 2027?
