Mr. Speaker, I would like to start by welcoming the member to the House. The people of Vancouver are fortunate to have this member.
Last week, I was with the member, first nations chiefs, project proponents and the Prime Minister to announce that LNG Canada phase two now has shovels in the ground. This $33-billion investment will be the second-largest LNG facility in the world. It will use 15,000 tonnes of new Canadian steel. It will generate 6,100 new jobs, and we are just getting started.
