Mr. Speaker, on October 19, my fellow Albertans will vote on whether Alberta should remain united with our great country or go down the uncertain path of separation. Our country has challenges, but I would choose our country over any other, any time. Former prime minister Harper once said, “Canada is, and always has been, our country.”
We want Canada to be a true north that is as strong and as free as it can be in every way that matters, the best country in the world. My fellow Conservatives and I believe in this vision. That is why we serve. That is why Conservatives are fighting for a stronger Alberta within a united Canada, an Alberta that can reach its full potential without being held back by Ottawa. I urge my fellow Albertans to heed this call.
Let us be a true north that is as strong and as free as it can be. May God bless our country. Long live Canada.
