Mr. Speaker, I will with pleasure.
My hon. colleague is someone with a lot of experience in the economy and someone who worked at the OECD prior to joining politics. In fact, she was our ambassador and proudly served Canada.
Today's announcement by the Prime Minister was about trying to support 800,000 homes across the country. It will allow anyone who is below the provincial median income to be eligible for up to a $10,000 grant to install a heat pump. Anyone who is above the provincial median income will be eligible for a $2,000 grant.
This is investment in Canada. It will support manufacturing at home, but it will also lower energy bills for beneficiaries. I think of a lot of my own constituents who do not have the ability to make this happen. We have seen it happen in the Atlantic. This is a great national program that I know will make a difference in the members' riding, in my riding and indeed across the country.
