Mr. Speaker, I would like my colleague to look at things from a slightly broader perspective because, clearly, one of the biggest factors affecting the price of groceries right now is the high cost of oil, of course, but more importantly, it is our dependence on oil. Building another pipeline will not bring down the cost of oil in Quebec. One way to reduce transport costs in Quebec would be to invest in the electrification of transportation.
For an individual, it is about eight times cheaper to charge an electric vehicle than to fill up with gas. If we also look at the rising cost of groceries, which is clearly due to droughts and floods, why would my colleague not propose helping people electrify their vehicles and their homes, as the Quebec government wants to do?
