Madam Speaker, most recently, according to Statistics Canada, Newfoundland and Labrador's inflation rate was 4.7%, compared with 3.1% nationally. Fuel prices increased 78.6% in one year, and transportation costs increased by 11.6%.
I am curious. How does the member square those statistics with the Prime Minister's claim that affordability is the best that it has been in a decade?
