Madam Speaker, I always enjoy listening to my colleague from Louis-Saint-Laurent—Akiawenhrahk. I think that he is eloquent and experienced. At the end of his speech, he asked a good question: Does anyone feel they are better off?
In my riding, 22% of the population is seniors 65 and over. Every time I go out in my riding, they talk to me about how unfair it is that seniors 65 to 74 are treated differently from those 75 and over. My bill, Bill C-261, will fix that injustice and stop the discrimination between the two groups of seniors.
Can the member for Louis-Saint-Laurent—Akiawenhrahk tell me whether he will support Bill C‑261 and, more importantly, whether he thinks that seniors deserve to regain their purchasing power?
