Madam Speaker, I am glad to see my colleague from Winnipeg North supporting, in principle, anyway, a halt to the forthcoming expansion of MAID for people with mental illness. However, the member has voted three times against stopping that expansion. He voted for adding mental illness to the MAID regime in Bill C-7. He voted against Bill C-314 in the previous Parliament, and a couple of weeks ago, he voted against Bill C-218.
To what do we attribute the change of heart?
