Mr. Speaker, I agree that our defence program should be supported. Our men and women in uniform are definitely in need, but that shows the failures of what the government has been doing. These are things that should have been done years ago.
Currently, I am looking at businesses shutting down and investors leaving Canada. Manufacturers are telling me they can no longer wait for the supplies they need to fulfill their contracts. Jobs are being lost, and that is not building a stronger Canada. It is making a weaker economy and making life more unaffordable for Canadians.
