Mr. Speaker, this is an investment in Canadian workers, Canadian aerospace ingenuity and community safety. It will help Alberta-based De Havilland double production of its iconic 515 water bombers, supporting thousands of great jobs in Alberta. This investment will get more of these life-saving aircraft where they are needed sooner.
The Leader of the Opposition called the EU-Canada summit “political theatre”. I doubt the workers benefiting in Alberta, the province he represents, would agree.
