Mr. Speaker, it is always a pleasure to rise on behalf of the people from Kamloops—Thompson—Nicola.
I rise for the sixth time to bring forward a petition to help with the funding and fast-tracking of the rebuilding of the Red Bridge by the federal government. The Red Bridge was destroyed by arson in 2024. It was a cultural landmark and a vital link between Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc territory and mainland Kamloops.
I encourage the government to stop leaving Kamloops—Thompson—Nicola out when it comes to funding announcements. Let us fund Red Bridge in tomorrow's budget.
