Mr. Speaker, the third petition, signed by 1,048 people, is about the tragic attack on the Shajareh Tayyebeh Primary School in Iran. They know that the February 28, 2026, missile attacks on the elementary school killed at least 165 school children and constituted a grave violation of international humanitarian law. They call on the Government of Canada to issue a formal and unambiguous condemnation of the attack. They call on the government to suspend military aid and related assistance to the U.S. and Israel during the current conflict pending a full and independent investigation, and to table in Parliament a full accounting of Canada's relationship with the United States and Israel regarding this conflict.
They further call on the Government of Canada to work with the UN, the ICC and relevant bodies to ensure accountability, and for the Minister of Foreign Affairs to publish a formal compliance assessment of current and pending arms transfers to the U.S. and Israel.
