Mr. Speaker, this needs to remain under provincial jurisdiction. Nothing needs to change there, but I think the provinces need to work together to make sure that data can be interchanged.
It is extremely important to reduce harm and save lives. As I mentioned in my speech, I know of someone who was given penicillin by accident and died because their information was not transferred from province to province. They had gotten into a car accident. The provinces need to work together to ensure we have a transfer of data, but I absolutely do not think this should be removed from provincial jurisdiction.
