Mr. Speaker, how can Canadians be masters of their own destiny when they lack even the means to fill their refrigerators? This budget tells us that the government is going to get $30 billion in new revenues from Canadians, with absolutely nothing for the middle class. Deficits will reach $62 billion in 2026‑27, $62 billion in 2027‑28, $57 billion in 2028‑29, $53 billion in 2029‑30, and $52 billion in 2030‑31.
The debt is going to soar to astronomical levels. Interest is going to reach an all-time high. Who is going to pay for it all? Canadians are going to pay, especially the middle class.
Why did you leave out the middle class?
