Mr. Speaker, it is a great honour to rise to honour the life of Patricia May Martyn, who passed away recently at the age of 86.
Married for 66 years to her best friend, Harold, together they raised four children, Paul, Linda, Anne and Karen. Karen, of course, is our former colleague, Karen Vecchio, who served the House so ably and with such great talent and dedication from 2015 through 2025.
Adored by her children, of course, her grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, Patricia May Martyn was an outstanding Canadian, someone who loved her community and her family. She is someone who will be deeply missed.
Our country is a great place, a great country for so many reasons, but it is unsung heroes like Patricia May who made it so. It is an honour to speak about her today. May she rest in peace.
